Delivering our decoy little terns to Blakeney Point

Our TAPS wildlife group was delighted to visit the National Trust reserve at Blakeney, where they met up with ranger Ben and handed over the decoy birds they had made.

The decoys will be used to help little terns nest more safely on the north Norfolk coast. Ben was really pleased with them and will be putting them out next year.

The group was then treated to a wonderful day on the reserve with their very own guide Carl, a former ranger who now works as a volunteer. Activities included pond dipping for eels and learning about the reeds used to make thatched roofs.

After a picnic lunch everyone walked up to the viewpoint with Ben to take in the fantastic view looking out to sea. Huge thanks to both Ben and Carl for making it such a special day.
